The choice of the paper format you plan to use for your printing depends on your needs and the type of printer you are using. There are several formats and types of paper that most printers accept. But which paper format should you choose for practical use? This article discusses it.
The different paper formats
Except for the compact photo printer 10 cm x 15 cm, all other types of printers, including laser printers, accept the standard A4 format which measures 210 mm x 267 mm.

With a standard weight, printers accept all formats that are smaller than A4. This includes formats such as Executive format which measures 184 mm x 267 mm, Letter which measures 216 mm x 279 mm, then A5, 148 mm x 210 mm, A6, 105 mm x 148 mm, and others.
Most printers also accept the legal format. Its size is 216 mm x 356 mm.

On the other hand, printing in A3 format is quite rare with printers. If you have a printer that includes this option in its features, it would certainly be more bulky, more expensive and the per-page printing cost would not be any less. The different qualities of paper
There are different types of paper, and their appreciation depends on the quality of the paper. For example, there is the so-called standard paper, which is a white paper intended for printing with a weight of 80g/m2. Generally, the possibility of printing on both sides only works with this type of standard paper. This is indeed the type of paper most often used by laser printers.
There are also thicker papers that often correspond to the format of business cards, postcards, or even envelope formats.
